Travel and Visa Information

Flight Arrangements

If you have a choice of airlines, we recommend booking your flights on one of the “Star Alliance Airlines” (e.g., United, Air Canada, US Airways, Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, Egypt Air, Air China, Asian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, etc.) This way you will stay in the same terminal (the Star Alliance terminal) at Cairo International Airport. If you book on other airlines, you will need to change terminals in Cairo Airport. Please ask to be directed to the inter-terminal shuttle.

Additionally, in order to get the cheapest flight rates, we recommend that you book your international flight in and out of Cairo Airport (CAI), then a domestic flight from Cairo Airport (CAI) to Sharm El-Sheikh (SSH). If you do so, please allow ample time at Cairo to go through customs prior to checking in your bags at the domestic flight counters.

Non-Egyptian visitors arriving in Egypt are required to be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months from date of entry. We strongly recommend you to obtain a visa prior to arrival.
